Although a lot of the work we do is technically advanced and very challenging, sometimes we get involved in some nice straightforward engineering! A well-known company required an adjustable table to raise and lower a feeding system, which also required a cross slide to allow a number of different sized components to be fed into a centreless grinder on a batch-by-batch basis.
The solution? A heavy-duty scissor lift table with cross slide, with the added implementation of a tooled HA make linear to complete the brief. However, it’s not just fulfilling the brief to engineer the special machinery but also understanding the workspace it is going to be used in. In this instance, through working closely with the client, we knew this was for a harsh grinding shop environment but demanded a very smooth operation.
So, we supplied Linear Rails & Carriages with extra seals and scrapers.
